Users review: I. ... forgive words spoken by you.These Amon Goethe (Ralph Fiennes) for the right film can be used to highlight the theme of this movie: power and forgiveness.I is part of the post-war generation who have been fortunate enough not to experience a great war. And after watching this movie, I have deep respect and affection for those who suffer for this, be it the Holocaust or Nam War. The movie is just waiting to be done, and Im glad it was the right person who dared to take the challenge. All others will justice.The film focuses on how the German named Oskar Schindler saved the lives of thousands of Jews using them to work in factories during World War II. But I feel the film is not the primary purpose to show us Schindler's goodness but the horrors of war. There are several scenes of the most accurate and graphics here ever captured on celluloid. People were shot for no particular reason, hiding in fear, stripped and gased, abused ...... so much so that viewers watching for the first time will be greatly affected. We never have to see the other side of this war in many Hollywood productions that focus on realistic actions and their gung-ho hero. (Another excellent film would be Spielberg's Saving Pte Ryan of another) war and horror as final and recreated for the film Raging Bull audience.Like, which is beautifully filmed in black and white to reflect the era and tone in the film. Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes are excellent, esp others protrayal scary about Amon Goethe. The scene where they discuss the power of classical and next is where Amon forgive a young Jew remains as one of the many favs!
