Users review: I was impressed with the movie and could not believe that this is Scott Walker's first film. It was very well done. In the film, you can really tell the director / writing (both Scott) 's efforts to pursue perfection. The script was strong, much research and studies behind it, I can only imagine. I especially loved the color of the film, very dark and depressing, it made my heart heavy. Large fast-paced opening caught my attention right away, and a very intense ending. Even if you know the bad guy would be caught in the end, it's hard to breathe at the end. One of my favorite scenes was when Cindy saw an Alaskan moose. Be aware of the moment. It was so so beautiful and poetic. John Cusack's performance was superb! He convinced me that he really was the killer! Also, I have a new respect for Vanessa Hudgens. Thought she made popular by luck. But no, I really felt how much work she would do for a movie, and she put her heart into it. Glad to see Dean Norris too! He started his acting career back to the 60th century, but was very popular and well known in recent years. (Breaking Bad) I can not imagine how much up-and-downs during this journey. He is a great actor. I'm happy for his success! All in all, I always feel that the story is the soul of a film, it is the most important factor. I loved the story of serial killer Robert Hansen! I'm so glad Scott wrote this movie and put it on the big screen!
