Users review: The interesting thing about this film is that its cheesy romantic comedy from the female perspective. Knowing that the film is written by a woman in my position that shades pop out to me. Its those shades and outlook that makes the film more enjoyable. No one scene or moment merits little more laughter, and heroes themselves to expand and grow as the story unfolds. Its hard to worry about the results at first, because there is no installation or establishment of true character. Then they kind of grow on you, even if no one really rang true for me in every sense of the real world. Natalie Portman as great as you'd expect, but Ashton Kutcher does a great job as well. I've seen others criticize his performance, but I think it will be based on previously hated him not for his work. Supporting characters were very weak and useless, except for the father character played Kevin Kline is great. Overall, better than I expected it to be.
