Users review: Remember, remember the fifth of November, gunpowder treason and plot. I see no reason why gunpowder treason will never be forgotten. I've never read the graphic novel, but I do not think you need to read the movie to appreciate. I saw the movie last night at the world premiere at the International Film Festival in Berlin. Although it is a little heavy in the middle (some were a bit dragging), but it was a great experience. The story was so current that serious emotional in many parts. Weaving an excellent job with the mysterious title character V creates a poetic, intelligent and ruthless yet compassionate nature. Portman always seems to surprise me, with the exception of the Star Wars character. She presents a huge range of emotions and changed completely throughout the film. This is one of those films that really sticks in your head long after it's all to see ... and continues its movement and growth.
